New name, new beginning

Metamorphosis.

A conspicuous and relatively abrupt change in a body structure through cell growth and differentiation.

SenseScapes has become DraumVærk.

After years of slow and rapid and unpredictable growth. After another child. After a long maternity leave.

In the midst of a pandemic.

Draum. Draumur. Drøm. Dream.

Værk. Werk. Work.

DraumVærk is a multisensory landscape. A sense laboratory AND (mostly, now) a project based theatre company in Aarhus, Denmark, creating participatory, sensuous and poetic performances and experiences for all ages.

Aiming to open, disturb, move and fill up the senses.

Our projects are now mostly in Danish and in Denmark. But this blog remains as a wonderful archive of the roots.

Thank you so much for following, wondering and being part of what was.

Please follow DraumVærk on our facebook page, and take a look at our new website in the making, where there, among other things, is info about our newest participatory story telling performance for 4+ year-olds, “Drengen der aldrig var bange” (The boy who was never scared).

    Impressive! Especially the Darkness Manifesto.

In English, manifesto means as in the Communist Manifesto (set of beliefs and characteristics), whereas manifest means it is physical, actualized, as in “This artwork manifests his talent, is a manifest of his ability.” Therefore it’s important that your prose poem is called a Manifesto, if that’s what you mean. (Another small typo, in your above blog – paragraph 7, creating).

  2. Thanks for the correction.
